Together for Hope Appalachia is happy to welcome to the coalition, the Wade Center, Bluefield, WV. The Wade Center is impacting the lives of children and families in their community.

The Wade Center (https://wadecenter.com) exists to nurture Bluefield’s children, youth, and their families spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually through practical programs and mentoring relationships. Betty Brainerd is the Executive Director and Justin Johnson serves as Missions Coordinator. The Wade Center is a non-profit organization located in Bluefield, WV. Since the doors first opened in 2005, The Wade Center has worked to keep young people off the streets and in a safe and nurturing environment to provide the next generation with a chance to truly succeed in life, with The Wade Center being “in the heart of the community with the community in our hearts.” In 2022, for the second year in a row, they were awarded the Bluefield Business Hall of Fame, Best of Bluefield. This past school year 80% of the children in their program made the Honor Roll, many for the first time.
