About The Wade Center
Since the doors first opened in 2005, the Wade Center has served hundreds of children, teens, and young adults by providing practical programs and mentoring relationships to help provide the next generation with a chance to truly succeed in life. The Wade Center’s mission program is a year-round program designed to provide mission and volunteer teams opportunities to serve Bluefield, WV, and the surrounding areas. Mission teams this past year have enjoyed leading our kids’ program through children’s VBS, STEM activities, music, games, and enrichment activities. These teams have also taken part in uplifting projects including: planning events with the elderly community, city clean-up and art murals, and serving in food banks & soup kitchens.

Lodging
Our facility provides plenty of space for small teams, larger teams, or multiple teams. We can accommodate family groups, upon request.

We welcome non-traditional skilled worker teams, school groups, and overnight retreats!

There are four (4) private dormitories onsite. Each dorm has 14-16 bunk style beds with HVAC units. On the same floor, the facility has 2 private bathrooms for men & women, with three (3) showers & toilets per bathroom. As a part of Missions Quarters, volunteer teams will have access to WIFI, a coffee shop & a game room onsite, as well as our extended facilities.
