Ways to Give

Leave a Legacy Gift

A legacy gift lets your faith and values keep shaping rural communities for years to come. By including Together For Hope in your estate plans, you help sustain the relationships and local leadership that make lasting change possible across Appalachia, the Black Belt, the Delta, and Tribal Nations/Texas/Four Corners.

Why leave a legacy gift

Ways to leave a legacy

  1. In your will or trust. Name Together For Hope to receive a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after other gifts are made.
  2. Through a retirement account. Name us as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or 403(b). Retirement funds left to family are usually taxed as income, but a charity receives them tax-free — making these among the most efficient assets to leave to charity.
  3. Through life insurance. Name Together For Hope as a full or partial beneficiary of a policy.
  4. Through a bank or investment account. Many banks and brokerages let you name a beneficiary who receives the account directly, outside of probate.

For congregations. When a congregation closes, its members often want its remaining assets to carry its ministry forward. A gift to Together For Hope can continue your congregation’s witness through grassroots work in rural communities. We would be honored to talk with your leaders about what that could look like.

Sample bequest language

“I give [a specific amount / ___ percent of my estate / the residue of my estate] to Together For Hope, a nonprofit organization, EIN 87-0835491, 2906 North State Street, Suite 300, Jackson, MS 39216, for its general purposes.”

When naming us as a beneficiary, use our legal name, Together For Hope, and our EIN, 87-0835491.
